This 1982 ha farm is only 7 km away from the Seweweeks Poort, 50 km from Ladismith (30 km tarred road) and 65km from Laingsburg (30 km tarred road), an area and with geologically fascinating landscapes, steeped in history and tradition, and only 280 km from Cape Town.
The farm is utilized in the following manner: 90 ha arable lands that get used at the moment, 60 ha of which is gravity fed + 10 gravity micro also gravity fed +20 that needs to be pump and 26 dry lands.
There are a number more old arable land but is not in use at the moment.
The remaining 1892 ha is veldt and used for grazing purposes by cattle and sheep. This remaining portion of veldt is the epitome of potential for a game farm and can without difficulty be converted for such purposes and carry game such as Mountain Zebra, Eland, Kudu and vaal ribbok. The unique landscape and setting allows for the formation of 4 X 4 routes along both the river and mountains.

The farm has an adequate water supply- obtained from several fountains two fountains that runs thru the year, about 50 000 litres per hour and feed into dams, 11 boreholes (only 1 equipped with 16 kwa pump (30 000 litres per hour) the rest is not equipped but if they where it will deliver more than 250 000 litres per hour. Some of them are very close to Eskom power point, and can feed into main dams and some are in the veldt.
There is a total of 3 large new dams and 3 smaller dams, except of one small dam, they all are connected with the irrigation system. Estimate holding capacity is 245 000 cubic meters. The main dams are connected with a 200mm PVC pipe, so water can be moved around.
The average rainfall per annum is roughly 380mm, which is well above the district average of approximately 200mm, due to its exceptional situation above sea level of 1270m.
There are two large houses on the farm and two modernly renovated cottages on the farm, all together is a total of 10 bedrooms, Cottages are rented out as self-catering units.
Furthermore there is 6 labour cottages, all equipped with water and Eskom power.
The main 4 bedroom house, (built in 1990) as well as a large 3 bedroom second house and self- catering cottages, together with the sheds and outbuildings are in good repair.
The area is very safe.
There are a 5 ha sand mine on the farm (the only SABS approved sand in the Central Karoo)
The breath-taking views, volumes of unpolluted mountain water and unique cooler climate make an ideal property to develop to its full potential.
For sale as a going concern at R13 000 000, a list of movables such as 250 Dormer sheep and tractors is included in the price.
