Agrisell recently had the privilege to participate in the 52nd NAMPO.  746 exhibitors offered and enjoyed the family atmosphere and farm hospitality that are so unique to the Nampo Harvest Day. The record attendance of 82 817 visitors, along with the enthusiastic feedback, testify to the optimism of the agricultural sector despite the uncertainties facing South Africa’s economy.

Light aircrafts and helicopters touched-down and took-off next to NAMPO Park during the four days of the expo. “The growing interest is encouraging and shows that agriculture in South Africa is still alive and ongoing,” according to Mr Jannie de Villiers, CEO of Grain SA.  The number of visitors, both non-agricultural and the large number of media representatives outside the agricultural sector, increased significantly this year along with growing numbers of small enterprise farms.

About 76 international exhibitors exhibited their products, representing Israel, Poland, England, America, France and Italy to name but a few. For them, Nampo is a platform for reaching the rest of Africa. Once again, Agrisell was the only estate agency allowed as an exhibitor.

Agrisell is celebrating its 20th year this year. Agrisell’s strategic objective was to reach the vast number of visitors and raise awareness for how we can serve them. Our competent team, who represented our national estate agency network, provided visitors with information about various farms for sale, as well as assistance for farmers seeking to sell their properties.

Visitors were encouraged to peruse our website where they can make comparisons and informed decisions about buying or selling farms. Interesting to note, other than the previous year, about 90% (up from 50% in 2017) of the enquiries were from people seeking to purchase farms. Attendees from all over South Africa visited Agrisell’s exhibition.

Aside from the Agrisell stand, Agrisell in partnership with Media24, Standard Bank and Grain SA, hosted a Ladies’ program featuring performances by the artist Rocco de Villiers, and food editors Herman Lensing and Arina du Plessis who showed-off their cooking skills. The stellar feedback received from all the ladies attending our program proves that we have more to offer than just property expertise.

To each visitor, staff member and NAMPO personnel, thank you for the relationships we could build with you. We hope to strengthen them and built new ones along the way. And we hope to see you there in 2019!
