Category Agent Profile

Johan Duvenage was born in the Karoo on the farm Heuningkrans near Steynsburg. His family has always been involved in the Agricultural Industry, mainly with cattle and dairy farming.

His schooling was completed in Potchefstroom at the Hoër Volkskool Potchestroom and he went on to study at the University of the Free state. These were the years in which he was an avid rugby and cricket player, representing the UOFS in both disciplines whilst completing his studies.

Later, he got involved as a senior level managing Human Resources towards the end of his career as an employee for a Swiss company called Franke. After this he owned and managed is own business that handled Staff Recruitment and English Tutoring. Unfortunately, COVID seriously affected his business and it had to be closed as a result thereof in 2021.

Believing in the Afrikaans saying of “skoenmaker hou jou by jou lees” he identified many comparisons between doing Staff Recruitment and selling properties, and as a result pursued an opportunity to become a Property Practitioner at Agrisell in Vredenburg. After meeting with Jan-Hendrik Fourie, the Principal Practitioner, he immediately associated with the values of Agrisell and is fully committed to help making Agrisell the “Preferred Property Partner” on the West Coast.

Johan is married to Elsabé, and they have 2 children, Eugene and Lané, who are both married. Eugene and Genie his wife has a boy (now 7 years old already) – Johan and Eslabe’s first grandchild. Lané is married to Shaun and they are in New Zealand. She is expecting her first child to be born in February 2024, God-willing.

Johan and Elsabe love nature and their favorite place is the Kalahari, specifically the Kgalagadi. They lost their souls to the red sand of the Kgalagadi!

Johan values family and relationships with friends. His one true purpose being to live his life for Jesus!
